Cajon Pass so far-the start-part 1

This is all I have so far:a house, a school bus barn, a Stater Bros. warehouse, a LARGE parking lot for the Stater Bros., A portion of Barton Rd., Terrance Ave, and part of La Cadena Dr., and a few trees and textures:

    Do you look at maps to determine where buildings should go? Or do you design the layout yourself?

    I look at the Google Earth. If I did not see the logo on the roof, then I would have not known that it was Stater Bros. But, I do look to see exactly where trees go, shrubs go, etc.
